An update from Jamie…
Since we took over in April 2014 we have been well received.
Gill East who ran it for many years since 1971 had a large following, was very successful in the field, and even wrote exam papers for City and Guilds in the field, she was one of the originals and has herself trained hundreds of students including Americas no 1.
Being new owners we have made some changes, noticeably the prices have gone up a little by a couple of pounds, but in exchange for better service, we have been re-decorated, new equipment, nicer surroundings for clients, staff, and the dogs, more training for staff, including first aid for dogs as well as for humans, new uniforms, a new website easier to use and more modern and user friendly. We have also started up a Facebook page for the business which we hope you will “like” .
We have brought new services to the business, as well as the grooming we now also offer teeth cleaning, and ear cleaning and plucking, also kenneling and day care.
Of course its always rough and smooth – we do make mistakes but we listen to our customers and are always looking to improve so we welcome any comments and suggestions , if you e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org we would love to hear from you .
1 decision to charge for cancellations hasn’t always been 100% popular but to explain, when we book each dog in we reserve specifically a time allocation for your dog so they can be pampered, usually around 2 hours, if the appointment isn’t cancelled with min 24 hrs notice we have to charge as its too late to book another client in and the slot is lost, we then loose the revenue but still have to pay the staff, rent, bills etc.
We hope people will understand the need to charge if visits aren’t cancelled, its not to be unkind its just to cover the costs to ensure the business survives and can pay its way.
We very much appreciate all the custom, and warm welcome we have had – we love the area – we live in South Cerney Cirencester and have loved the Cheltenham experience, especially the Montpellier area which has a real vibe about it !
